CISMAT is a private owned Company totally independent established in Genoa in 1982. In the beginning, the principal activity was the charter side of the air Cargo industry but in the meantime the GSA idea began to take place and became a reality in 1983, when CISMAT obtained its first appointment as Airline Representatives and the registration at IATA as Cargo G.S.A.
In 2004 the IATA registration as G.S.S.A. has been also obtained.

This activity grows along the years up to be now the main role of the Company. An office network has been created in order to provide the Customers Airlines and Forwarding Agencies with an efficient and capillary presence over the market. The opening of the head-office in Genoa was then followed by branches in the main cargo hubs in Italy: Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino airports.

Even if not so numerous, the staff employed is well trained and has skill enough to cover all the aspects of the air Cargo; their job know-how ranges from airliner to forwarder as they have previous experiences in both sectors.
Our people have an open and flexible mentality and are able to satisfy the demands made both by Airlines and Forwarding Agencies. To this regard, we have a motto: “A good G.S.A. is the ideal bridge between two different worlds with a common goal: To do business in shipping by air”.

Jobs outside the air-cargo field like fiscal and salaries’ accountancies are contracted out to external third parties. It’s a manner to maintain high flexibility and to keep strict control over the running expenses.

A very flexible structure of the Company allows us to be defined as ‘low cost Company’ (term that elsewhere is being used quite commonly now, even if sometimes improperly). In this particular age above all, the keyword to succeed is to keep management costs as low as possible.

The Customers portfolio we own is actually impressive and would be too long to be listed here. This is the result of the high professionalism we have always had since the beginning in doing our job. That has taken our Company to become now one of the leading G.S.S.A. in Italy.
